WARNING: Possible Fraudulent/Misleading App

The dog mascot is fitting because this app is now a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program).

“BubbleFREE” (the app most of us originally downloaded) was sold to another developer. In its place we got this “Cookie Jam” clone (a TOTALLY DIFFERENT game that I did NOT WANT OR CHOOSE) as an “update.”

Cute & colourful graphics, yes, but with excessive, intrusive ads. Ugh.

Too many red flags are raised:
1.) The sleazy new-app-disguised-as-an-update ploy. That suggests the dev knew it couldn’t make it as a legitimate new app.
2.) Developer keeps renaming the app. (Are they trying to generate more search/traffic or evade Apple in detecting their shady moves?)
3.) Bogus “sponsored” reviews. (Some have already been reported and removed but watch out for more fake reviews,)
4.) Developer’s website (as of this writing) is nothing but a nearly-blank landing page.

What do they have to hide? A lot, I fear.
